Lovable tutorial: how to use Lovable as a beginner

Step 1: Create your free account

Click the green button and sign up. You get 5 free credits a day (up to 30 a month), no credit card required.

Step 2: Write your first prompt

Say what you're building, which pages and features it needs, and how it should look. Example: "A booking app for a yoga studio with a class schedule, sign-up form and admin login. Calm, minimal design."

Step 3: Iterate in small steps

Ask for one change at a time: "Make the header sticky", "Add a pricing section." Small, specific prompts give better results and use fewer credits.

Use visual edits to tweak text and colors directly – those changes are often free.

Step 4: Add a backend, login and payments

Lovable Cloud gives you a database, file storage and authentication with one prompt. Payments via Stripe or Paddle, AI features, and 50+ integrations like Shopify, Slack and Notion are built in.

Step 5: Publish and connect a domain

Click Publish. Your app gets a free URL instantly. On a paid plan, connect your own custom domain in Settings → Domains.

Tips to save Lovable credits

Plan your app before prompting, bundle related changes, use visual edits for small tweaks, and describe bugs precisely instead of saying "it doesn't work."
